Pitchfork Cheddar – Raw Milk Cheddar with Serious Clout
Powerful, savoury, and crumbly with a long, lingering finish
Pitchfork Cheddar is a traditional, cloth-bound, raw milk cheddar handmade by Trethowan’s Dairy in Somerset. Crafted using time-honoured techniques, including hand Cheddaring and using their own starter cultures, Pitchfork is aged for over a year to deliver bold, savoury complexity with a balanced acidity and deep umami notes.
Crumbly yet creamy, this cheese has a beautifully open texture and an earthy depth that intensifies as it matures. It’s won numerous accolades, including Best Cheddar in Britain at the 2019 World Cheese Awards – a true testament to its quality and punch.
Please note all cheeses are hand-cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as we can!
