Lincolnshire Poacher is a hard, unpasteurised cow’s milk cheese made using traditional methods on the Jones family farm in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Handmade by Simon and Tim Jones with milk from their own Holstein Friesians, this award-winning cheese has earned its place as one of Britain’s greats.
Sitting between a mature cheddar and a Swiss mountain cheese, Lincolnshire Poacher is firm and full-bodied, with a slightly open texture and complex herbaceous notes that linger on the palate. It’s a Supreme Champion and a staple for those who love depth, craftsmanship, and proper British flavour.
