Isle of Wight Blue – A Soft, Award-Winning British Blue
Mellow when young, bold when mature, and packed with character
First made in 2006, Isle of Wight Blue is a naturally rinded, blue-veined soft cheese made with pasteurised cow’s milk. Handcrafted and sold at 3–5 weeks of age, it starts with a mild, creamy blue flavour that intensifies dramatically as it matures – developing a spikier, more assertive character by the end of its shelf life.
Its rind is striking, covered in green, grey, blue, and white moulds – a natural, edible surface that adds visual appeal and deepens its flavour. A standout on any cheeseboard, this British blue has won multiple awards, including Best English Cheese at the World Cheese Awards.
