Hand made by the Cornish Gouda Company who moved from the Netherlands in 1998 to start dairy farming. However, due to many years of poor milk prices, the family decided to sell. When the youngest son, Giel came home from college and saw the ‘For Sale sign on the gate he decided he would make the business viable by diversifying the farm through the production of cheese.
This cheese is produced using only the milk from the family’s pedigree herd, which is born, reared, and fed on the farm. The resulting cheese is beautifully rich and nutty with a firm texture. A traditional Gouda-style cheese with classic characteristics but a distinctively modern twist. You may have seen them featured on a number of television programs including Rick Stein's Cornwall & Countryfile.
Please note all cheeses are hand-cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as we can!
