Norfolk Dapple
A traditional clothbound Norfolk cheese – nutty, mature, and award-winning
Produced in Norfolk by Ferndale Farm →
Norfolk Dapple is a hard, unpasteurised cow’s milk cheese made at Ferndale Farm in Barningham, North Norfolk. Handmade in small batches and matured in cloth, it develops a distinctive dappled rind and a rich, savoury flavour. With a mature, Cheddar-like profile, it offers a nutty complexity and a dry, crumbly texture that deepens as it ages. This proper farmhouse cheese has won multiple awards at the British Cheese Awards and is a must-try for lovers of robust, traditional British cheese.
Please note all cheeses are hand-cut, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as we can!

My first tasting of Norfolk Dapple which was described as being like a cheddar. Less strong than a mature cheddar, but in my mind a far more subtle flavour and so superior to mild cheddars. Highly recommended and will be buying again.
This Cheese is delicious, lots of flavour and a great finish to a meal.
Gorganzola is one of my favourite cheeses. Wonderfully creamy and full of flavour.
