The East Anglian Cheesemonger’s Selection
A curated collection of the region’s finest artisan cheeses
Bringing together the very best from Norfolk and Suffolk, The East Anglian Cheesemonger’s Selection celebrates the rich diversity and craftsmanship of our region’s most skilled cheesemakers. From soft, creamy farmhouse cheeses to bold, characterful blues and mellow hard varieties, this hamper offers a true taste of East Anglia — a showcase of local cheese, artisan tradition, and Best of British excellence.
Lovingly sourced from small, independent dairies, each cheese tells its own story of the land and the people behind it — from the lush grazing pastures of Norfolk to the rolling meadows of Suffolk.
Inside this hamper you’ll find:
-
Suffolk Gold (approx. 250g) – Made by The Suffolk Farmhouse Cheese Company in Creeting St Mary. A semi-hard cow’s milk cheese with a rich golden colour, smooth texture, and gentle buttery sweetness. Matured to perfection for a mellow finish that’s pure Suffolk sunshine.
-
Wensum White (approx. 180g) – Crafted by The Goat Shed in Honingham. A soft, bloomy-rind goat’s milk cheese, Wensum White is Norfolk’s answer to a brie — creamy, delicate, and beautifully fresh, with a subtle tang and luxurious texture.
-
Baron Bigod (approx. 250g box) – Produced by Fen Farm Dairy near Bungay, Suffolk. A luxurious, unpasteurised cow’s milk brie with earthy mushroom notes, buttery richness, and an indulgent soft centre. Arguably East Anglia’s most famous cheese.
-
Jiffler Blue or Binham Blue (approx. 250g) – We aim to include Jiffler Blue from Norfolk & Better, a creamy, smooth blue-veined cheese with a well-balanced tang. However, during certain times of the year, availability may mean substituting Binham Blue from Mrs Temple’s Cheeses, Norfolk’s classic blue, celebrated for its soft texture and gentle saltiness.
-
Pinkfoot (approx. 250g) – Handmade by Ferndale Farm Dairy in Little Barningham, Norfolk. A semi-hard cow’s milk cheese with a nutty, rounded flavour and beautiful natural rind — named after the pink-footed geese that migrate across the Norfolk skies each winter.
-
Pack of artisan cheese crackers – Specially chosen to complement both soft and hard cheeses.
-
Jar of The Garden Pantry chutney – Handmade in Norfolk with seasonal ingredients, offering the perfect sweet and tangy balance for your cheeseboard.
Freshness & storage
Most cheeses are hand-cut to order, and while every effort is made to be as accurate as possible, the quoted weights are approximate. Cheeses are cut on the day of dispatch or at most the day before, ensuring maximum freshness and flavour.
Cut cheeses have a minimum shelf life of 10 days from the date of cutting.
Cheese is far more resilient than many people assume — designed to travel, mature, and improve with time. For expert advice on how to look after your cheese, visit our blog on cheese refrigeration and storage.
Packaging
At The Norfolk Deli, our focus is on quality and care, not fancy packaging. We don’t use decorative wicker hampers for our cheeseboards — instead, your cheeses are packed in appropriately sized boxes with ice packs and insulation, ensuring they arrive in perfect, tip-top condition, ready to enjoy.
The price includes postage and packing, as well as a personalised handwritten message, making this the perfect ready-to-send gift for any cheese lover.
