The story of Rambol begins in the 1960s in Rambouillet, near Paris, where a small creamery created a cheese called Rambolitain — a savoury blend of cheese and nuts. Its popularity soon led to the founding of the Rambol company in 1970, and production continues today in Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines, within the Île-de-France region — the historic home of Brie de Meaux.
