Maya Shines is a vibrant pale ale from Duration Brewing, created in collaboration with Unite Brew for IWD 2026. It’s a celebration of individuality, resilience and expression — inspired by the extraordinary Maya Angelou and her enduring message: nothing can dim the light that shines from within.
In the glass, this is a bold yet beautifully balanced pale. Layers of overripe tropical fruit come forward first — juicy, soft and full — followed by a resinous thread of sticky pine that gives structure and depth. Bright citrus notes lift everything, keeping the beer fresh, energetic and incredibly drinkable.
There’s a real sense of movement here — from fruit to pine to citrus — all carried on a smooth, modern pale ale base that allows each element to shine without overwhelming the others.
