Why It’s On Our Shelves
Juicy, tropical and effortlessly drinkable – a session pale with real character
Produced in Norfolk by Duration →
Don’t let the name fool you — this is a small beer with a big personality.
Bonsai Pale Ale from Duration Brewing is all about precision and balance, delivering bold hop character at an easy, sessionable strength. Inspired by the careful craft of bonsai, every element here is deliberately shaped to create something both expressive and beautifully controlled.
Idaho 7 hops lead the charge with vibrant tropical notes — think ripe papaya, soft bubblegum sweetness, and a gentle resinous edge. Mosaic follows through with layers of overripe mango and subtle earthy depth, rounding out a hop profile that feels juicy without ever tipping into excess.
Underneath it all sits a carefully built malt base, with wheat and oats adding body and softness. The result is a smooth, slightly hazy pale with a silky mouthfeel and a bright, fruit-forward finish.
This is modern pale ale done properly — flavour-packed, balanced, and dangerously easy to drink.

It’s the kind of beer that disappears quicker than you expect… which is usually the best sign.
