Templegall is an exceptional raw milk, Alpine-style cheese handmade by Hegarty’s Farm in Whitechurch, County Cork. Inspired by traditional Comté and Gruyère, this cheese is made using milk from the family’s own Friesian herd and matured for 10–14 months to develop its signature depth and complexity.

Beneath its natural rind lies a golden paste with a supple, creamy texture and flavours of hazelnut, butter, and sweet meadow grass. The finish is long, savoury, and beautifully balanced — the hallmark of truly great cheesemaking.

Winner of multiple awards, including Best Irish Cheese at the 2021 British Cheese Awards, Templegall represents the best of Ireland’s new generation of artisan cheesemakers — combining traditional European technique with Irish terroir.
