Why It’s On Our Shelves
Norfolk-grown English white wine shaped by chalk soil and coastal climate
Elegant and fresh with floral aromas, citrus & stone fruit notes. Aged for lees for two months, 12% ABV
Produced in the Stiffkey Valley at Walsingham Estate Vineyard, this Solaris 2023 is a fresh, dry Norfolk white wine that reflects both the vineyard’s chalk-rich soil and the favourable growing conditions of the county. Aged on lees for two months, it offers delicate floral aromas alongside citrus, leafy freshness and subtle stone fruit character.
Solaris is a grape variety well suited to Norfolk’s cool climate, producing wines with clarity, balance and structure. Hand-harvested from young vines planted in 2019, this second vintage represents an important milestone for the vineyard, demonstrating the strength and potential of Norfolk as a serious English wine region.
Elegant and versatile, it pairs beautifully with white fish, shellfish, poultry in cream sauces, and artisan Norfolk cheeses such as Norfolk White Lady or Baron Bigod. Whether enjoyed on its own, served alongside a cheeseboard, or included in a Norfolk hamper, this wine captures the growing confidence of English wine made in Norfolk.
Produced in Norfolk and carefully selected by The Norfolk Deli, specialists in Norfolk cheese, hampers and artisan food.
