The first release from The English Whisky Company’s Small Batch range for 2025 is a beautifully crafted marriage of four second-fill wine casks, resulting in a whisky that is soft, elegant and gently expressive. Second-fill casks offer subtler influence than first-fills, adding complexity without overpowering the spirit — and this release showcases that finesse to perfection.

Crafted at St George’s Distillery, where production is intentionally small to maintain exceptional quality, the Small Batch series takes limited releases even further. Each batch demonstrates the distillery team’s skill in selecting, marrying and maturing casks to highlight the very best of their single-malt stocks. With each batch one-of-a-kind and never repeated, this expression is available only while stocks last — and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
