The Cheesemonger’s Notes
Luxury German triple cream soft cheese with a delicate bloomy rind and silky texture
Fiorella Di Tomino is a premium German triple cream bloomy rind cheese made from pasteurised cow’s milk by Käserei Champignon Hofmeister in Bavaria. Inspired by the soft cheeses of Piedmont in northern Italy, this elegant flower-shaped cheese combines a delicate edible white rind with a rich, creamy interior that ripens from the outside in. Mild, buttery and exceptionally silky in texture, Fiorella Di Tomino offers a luxurious alternative to Brie or Camembert and is currently the only German triple cream premium Brie-style cheese available in the UK.
Delicate, creamy and beautifully refined, Fiorella Di Tomino is a stunning German triple cream soft cheese created by Käserei Champignon Hofmeister and inspired by the famous soft cheeses of Piedmont in northern Italy.
Crafted in a distinctive seven-petal flower shape, this luxurious bloomy rind cheese takes its name from the Italian word for “little flower” — a nod to both its appearance and the alpine meadows where cows graze on summer grasses and wild flowers that help give the cheese its beautifully silky texture.
Ripening gently from the outside in, Fiorella Di Tomino offers two textures in perfect harmony. Beneath the delicate edible white rind lies a creamy pale yellow interior where soft creaminess meets a fresh buttery melt, creating a rich yet elegant soft cheese with remarkable balance.
This is currently the only German triple cream premium Brie-style cheese available in the UK, offering a luxurious alternative to classic French bloomy rind cheeses while retaining a wonderfully delicate and approachable character.
Naturally lactose-free and made using microbial rennet, Fiorella Di Tomino is also suitable for vegetarians.
