Handmade in small batches in Norfolk, the strawberries provide plenty of juicy, naturally sweet fruit character, while elderflower introduces a delicate floral freshness that complements rather than competes with the fruit.
It's a particularly lovely combination. Strawberry gives you everything familiar and comforting about a traditional conserve, while the elderflower makes it lighter, more aromatic and just that little bit different.
What does Strawberry & Elderflower Conserve taste like?

Why we like it
Strawberry and elderflower is one of those combinations that just seems to make sense.
The strawberry brings all that familiar ripe, juicy fruit, while elderflower adds a lighter, fragrant quality that makes the whole thing taste a little fresher and more interesting.
What we particularly like is that Essence hasn't tried to reinvent strawberry conserve. The strawberry is still very much the star; the elderflower simply gives it another dimension.
Handmade in Norfolk using British strawberries, it's the sort of preserve that makes you think of long summer days, afternoon tea and scones – even when the weather outside has other ideas.
