Why It’s On Our Shelves
A golden ale inspired by the Norfolk coast
Produced in Norfolk by East Quay Brewery →
Brewed in Wells-next-the-Sea by the East Quay Brewing Company, Golden Buoy (4.2% ABV) is a bright, refreshing golden ale that captures the warmth, charm, and easy-going spirit of the North Norfolk coast. Its name pays tribute to the golden buoys that mark safe harbour, a familiar sight along Wells’ shoreline and a symbol of Norfolk’s proud maritime heritage.
Golden Buoy pours a radiant golden hue with a light, creamy head. The flavour is beautifully balanced — smooth malt sweetness upfront, followed by gentle hops that lend subtle citrus notes and a crisp, clean finish. The result is an easy-drinking ale that’s as versatile as it is satisfying.
Perfect alongside fish and chips, grilled seafood, or a summer salad, it’s also a great companion for long coastal walks or relaxed afternoons with friends. Handcrafted in small batches, Golden Buoy represents Norfolk brewing at its finest — honest, approachable, and full of character.
