Brancaster Sloe Gin is a small-batch Special Edition made by steeping foraged sloe berries in Brancaster's award-winning gin for six months, allowing the fruit plenty of time to develop its distinctive flavour and colour.
The sloes come from the blackthorn bushes that thrive in the hedgerows around Brancaster, where gathering the berries forms part of the changing seasons on the North Norfolk coast.
It gives this sloe gin a particularly strong sense of place: Brancaster Gin transformed by fruit foraged from the landscape that inspired it.
What does Brancaster Sloe Gin taste like?
Expect the rich, dark fruit character of ripe sloes alongside the botanical complexity of the original Brancaster Gin.
Six months of steeping allows the sloes to impart their characteristic fruitiness and gentle tartness, creating a drink that is rich and luxurious while retaining the underlying character of the gin.
At 26% ABV, it has the softer strength traditionally associated with sloe gin, making this a distinctly different expression from Brancaster's classic gin range.
