Orange and chocolate is one of those combinations that simply works. Rich chocolate meets bright, fragrant orange in these handmade biscotti from Bon Bakery, creating a biscuit with plenty of flavour and that all-important satisfying crunch.
Twice-baked to give them their characteristic crisp texture, they're not overly sweet, allowing the contrast between chocolate and citrus to come through. The orange brings freshness, the chocolate brings richness, and together they make a biscotti that's particularly difficult to leave alone once the packet has been opened.
Handmade in small batches here in Norfolk, they're an excellent excuse to put the coffee on.
How to Enjoy Them
Particularly good:
- Dunked into espresso or strong black coffee
- Alongside a cappuccino or latte
- With hot chocolate when only chocolate-on-chocolate will do
- With tea as an afternoon treat
- Served alongside vanilla or chocolate ice cream
Why We Like Them
Because there are flavour combinations that don't need reinventing.
Chocolate, orange and a proper biscotti crunch – familiar enough to know you're going to like them, but considerably more interesting than an everyday biscuit.
Handmade in Norfolk and very good with coffee. Although, as ever, the coffee is optional.
