Established in 1790, Balblair is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and the oldest working distillery in the Highlands. Situated in the ancient village of Edderton in the shadow of the Struie Hill, it would be hard to find a distillery in more scenic and unspoilt surroundings than Balblair. The whiskies are uniquely Vintage, named after the year they were made, not with an age statement. Each Vintage represents an exact moment in time. It is the ability to judge that precise point in time that makes Balblair so special. The 1975 2nd Release is matured in second-fill American oak, ex-sherry casks and non chill-filtered and of natural colour.
