Portuguese sardines packed in lemon-infused olive oil. La Gondola uses only the best, fresh, sustainably caught sardines and packs them together with high quality ingredients to further enhance the flavour. Founded by Italians in the 1940s near Porto, the cannery is one of Portugal’s oldest and still uses hands-on, artisan methods of production. These sardines with lemon are great on toast, the classic way, with chopped onion, tomato, and sea salt, or stirred into spaghetti with lots of chopped herbs.
