Nidelven Blå

Nidelven Blå is a semi-solid blue mould cheese from Norway. It is crafted by Gangstad Gårdsysteri, a small dairy farm about two hours from Trondheim. Made from pasteurized cow's milk, this cheese has been described by judges as having a "dense fudginess" with "fruity overtones" and "wine-like characteristics." 

In 2023, Nidelven Blå was awarded the title of World's Best Cheese at the World Cheese Awards held in Trondheim, Norway. The competition featured a record-breaking 4,502 entries from 43 countries. 

The cheese is named after the Nidelven River in Trøndelag county, reflecting its regional heritage.Gangstad Gårdsysteri, the producer of Nidelven Blå, is known for its artisanal dairy products and has previously received accolades for its cheeses
