Following the cancellation of our scheduled 2020 cheese tasting evenings, we are delighted to bring you a series of cheese tasting evenings hosted by The Norfolk Deli.
Enjoy an introduction to a range of cheeses you will want to know more about. The aim of the evening is to be informative, educational, but most of all fun!
The format of the evening will include
- The language of cheese
- The cheese tasting wheel
- How to taste cheese.
- An introduction to our tasting board
- Who makes the cheeses?
- Things to look out for
- Note-taking
- Tasting
This event has been designed to challenge the held beliefs of many that nobody makes a cheese quite like ..... by providing a taste of said cheese and a British alternative which might not change your mind, but will hopefully show off the skills of our British Cheesemakers
The classics we'll be comparing against include:
- Old Amsterdam (Dutch Gouda)
- Brie de Meaux
- Comte
- Parmigiana Reggiana
- Morbier
- Montagnolo
We will also discuss the myths & facts which surround cheese and cheesemakers. for example, is it safe to eat cheese? Animal welfare concerns and issues facing the cheese industry post-Brexit and Covid.
This is a ticket only event and tickets are priced at £25 per person.
To ensure that we are providing the best possible experience this event will be held in our lovely cafe. Places available will be limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
