THE NORFOLK CHEESE TASTER

  • Binham Blue - (cow) approx. 250g
Made by Catherine Temple at her farm on the Holkham estate. A pasteurised milk blue cheese, which is exclusively sold in Norfolk.

  • Norfolk Mardler - (goat) approx. 150g
Made using goat's milk by Fielding Cottage. This is a goatee, feta-style cheese wrapped in wax.

  • Norfolk White Lady - (Ewe) 150gm approx.)
A Brie-style cheese made with ewe's milk which gives the cheese a certain piquancy making it very different to a standard Brie.

  • Norfolk Dapple - (cow) 250g approx.
Made by the team at Ferndale Farm, a cheddar-style cheese, hard, crumbly ad hard. A favourite amongst our customers, could it become one of your favourites too?

  • Wells Alpine (cow) 250g approx.
A cow's milk cheese from Mrs Temples. The milk is from her herd of Swiss browns and this cheese was inspired when on a cycling holiday in the Alps. It may be made near Wells-next-the-sea, but there is no mistaking the alpine style influence in this cheese. Hard & nutty and flavour.

  • Fine Cheese Co Crackers
Crackers made for cheese; two packets will be included with this cheeseboard.

Serves up to 5-6 people

  • Wissington (ewe) 250g approx.
A firm ewe's milk cheese which some suggest resembles a Manchego. We would beg to differ and suggest that this is much more like a Pecorino Fresco, young, fresh and vibrant. (please note is cheese is not always available and at times it is not we will replace this with something similar)

Mr's Temples' dairy version of a brie/camembert style cheese. A popular addition to many Norfolk restaurant cheeseboard.

Another cheese from Mrs Temples' Dairy. A creamy cheddar-style cheese, with plenty of depth to its flavour profile. Not a cheddar, but we'd suggest it is somewhere between a cheddar and a Lancashire

  • Tawny (cow) 250g Approx.
Made by the team at Ferndale farm, this is a form, of creamy cow's milk cheese which is rind washed in Beeston Brewery's Old Stoatwobbler Ale. If we were to try and compare to this any other cheese, we would suggest it has similarities to a Caerphilly.
