This cheese is a cross between a Camembert & Saint Marcellin. Unlike mass-produced Camembert's which tend to have a thick rind, Gert Lush has moe of a light dusting of white mould, while the interior is gooey in texture and mushroom in flavour.
Gert Lush is a West Country phrase meaning very lovely or really excellent. This cheese was awarded a Gold at the Artisan Cheese Awards 2022 & 2023 and one star in the Great Taste Awards 2023.
